Job summary

Western Precision Manufacturing is seeking a motivated Structural Steel Installer to join our Colorado team. This role also serves as a Structural Steel Erector and Crew Lead, responsible for guiding a small installation crew on commercial and industrial projects.

Shop hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with field schedules varying by project needs. The ideal candidate has at least one year of crew leadership, proficiency reading blueprints, and the ability to obtain SMAW 3G & 4G

Qualifications

Minimum one year leading a structural steel installation crew.
Experience in installation and erection of structural steel.
Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
Ability to obtain SMAW 3G & 4G certification immediately.
Knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA requirements.
Valid driver''s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a structural steel installation crew safely and productively.
Install, erect, and secure structural steel components per plans.
Read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
Ensure work meets safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
Perform stick welding and maintain SMAW 3G/4G certification as needed.
Coordinate daily tasks with supervisors and crew; travel to locations as required.
Maintain tools and equipment; comply with safety policies.
