Piedmont Metals in Burlington, North Carolina, is a full‑service structural steel fabricator with three generations of family ownership, serving the ship building, railcar, and heavy equipment industries since 1954.

We are seeking an experienced Layout/Fabricator to lay out, position, align and secure parts per drawings and specs, inspect pieces for defects, and work with welding tools. This is a full‑time, in‑person role offering a base rate of $20–$25 per hour.

Formación

• D.1.1 test and fabrication test is required and performed at the site.
• Experience in welding/fitting.
• Experience in structural steel welding preferred.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and read a tape line.

Responsabilidades

• Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies per drawings/specs.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure conformance to specs.
• Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to welding.
