Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Specialty Technician I to join our [CITY] team and advance in a dynamic work environment. You will perform field-based destructive and non-destructive testing, inspection, and observation activities in support of specialty construction materials testing projects.

This role focuses on specialized testing disciplines such as structural steel inspections, welding observations, and/or non-destructive evaluation (NDE) while working under the direction of more experienced

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two specialty certifications applicable to the work performed as per policy (General industry OSHA 10 may be required).
• Proven ability to work safely on construction sites and in fabrication facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform destructive and non-destructive testing on construction materials.
• Inspect structural steel, reinforcing steel, and connections (welded and bolted).
• Conduct field observations and collect samples for testing.
• Document findings per engineering and inspection standards.
• Communicate daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Prepare and submit daily field reports and documentation.
• Calibrate NDT equipment where applicable.
• Operate motor vehicle safely and follow local/state regulations.
