Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a skilled Fitter-Welder to lay out, fit, assemble and weld structural steel per drawings and procedures. You will verify dimensions, material sizes, and piece marks, ensuring fit-up accuracy and adherence to WPS requirements.

The role demands experience with FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW processes, close attention to quality, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork on site.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of welding symbols and weld procedures.
• Strong measuring and layout skills.
• Ability to verify material grade and heat/traceability.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Layout and prepare components for welding.
• Review shop drawings and weld symbols for accuracy.
• Position and align structural steel per drawings.
• Perform FCAW, GMAW, SMAW as required.
• Check welds and perform repairs per procedures.
• Maintain safe work practices and housekeeping.
