Loenbro in Arizona is seeking a skilled Fitter-Welder to lay out, fit, assemble, and weld structural steel components according to drawings, shop details, and weld procedures. You will ensure quality and dimensions meet project specs.

You will reviewed drawings, verify material and measurements, tack weld for fit-up, and perform final welds while following WPS. The role demands precision, safety, and the ability to work with grinders and fabrication tools.

Qualifications

• Ability to read structural steel fabrication drawings.
• Understanding of welding symbols.
• Strong measuring and layout skills.
• Ability to calculate basic dimensions and angles.
• Ability to use tape measures, levels, squares, lasers, and layout tools.
• Welding experience.
• Ability to operate grinders and fabrication equipment safely.
• Ability to identify fit-up and dimensional problems.
• Ability to work independently from drawings and instructions.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fit, assemble, and weld structural steel per drawings.
• Review shop drawings and verify dimensions.
• Position and align beams, columns, plates, and other components.
• Tack weld for proper fit-up and verify before final welding.
• Follow WPS, maintain correct heat and weld size.
• Inspect welds and perform repairs as needed.
• Maintain safety and keep work area organized.
