Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking a skilled Fitter Fabricator to perform advanced layout, fit-up, and fabrication while interpreting complex blueprints and operating fabrication equipment.

You will weld in all positions using MIG, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, and SAW to AWS D1.1/D1.5 standards, and read drawings to verify dimensions and tolerances. In-house training is provided; Kinsley Steel is a Drug Free Workplace and an E-Verify participant.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete inhouse training of AISC Layout & Fit-Up Training.
• Proven fabrication experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced layout and fit-up activities.
• Perform MIG, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, SAW
• Weld in all positions to AWS D1.1. D1.5 standards. (1G, 2G, 3G, 6G)
• Perform advance torch and plasma cutting operations
• Read and interpret complex fabrication drawings.
• Independently operate hand saws, mag drills, and fabrication equipment.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Assist with training junior fabricators.
