Qualifications

• Experience in structural steel erection and certified welding practices.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
• Must have or be able to obtain welding certifications and pass weld tests.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Install structural steel including beams, columns, joists, and decking
• Align steel components using levels, lasers, and plumb bobs
• Perform structural welding per project requirements
• Bolt and secure steel members into place
• Signal crane operators to safely hoist materials
• Assemble steel frameworks and structural components
• Cut, bend, and weld steel using appropriate tools
• Safely operate lifts, hoists, and other jobsite equipment
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions
