Job summary

Florida Atlantic Ironworks seeks a Steel Erection Foreman/Leadman to provide on-site leadership for steel erection crews. You will schedule manpower and equipment, supervise field teams, and coordinate with the project management and client to keep work on time and within budget.

The role requires strong knowledge of welding, bolting, rigging, and safety procedures, with the ability to communicate clearly in English and lead by example on complex projects. Travel to active sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience leading steel erection crews on construction sites.
• Ability to read blueprints/specs and follow project plans.
• Valid driver's license; willingness to travel for projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead site teams; schedule manpower/equipment to meet project timelines.
• Ensure safety, quality, and cost controls on the project.
• Coordinate with contractors, client, and management; train crews.
• Inspect and verify alignment, connections, and welds per specs.
• Attend on-site meetings and provide progress updates.
