The Structural Steel Ironworker Foreman provides on-site leadership, coordinates manpower and equipment, and ensures safety compliance while meeting project schedules on structural projects. The role requires strong English communication, knowledge of rigging and signaling, and familiarity with common shop and field tools to ensure accurate material placement and

Qualifications

  • Speak and understand English in oral and written form.
  • Knowledge of proper rigging and signaling.
  • Knowledge of proper use for transit, laser level, torpedo, torque guns, welders, gas equipment, rigging and components.
  • Knowledge of AISC standards.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety precautions are followed.
  • Complete jobs on time and within budget.
  • Hold a documented site safety meeting weekly.
  • Prepare a 3-week look-a-head schedule weekly.
  • Attend on-site project meetings (safety, quality, scheduling, production).
  • Issue corrective action notices to enforce guidelines.
  • Read specifications and blueprints to determine material needs.
