Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking a Structural Steel Ironworker Foreman to provide on-site leadership, manage manpower and equipment, and ensure safety compliance on projects. The role involves coordinating crews, ensuring productivity, and meeting schedules.

Responsibilities include safety meetings, look-ahead scheduling, attending project meetings, and reading specifications and blueprints to size materials accurately.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak and understand English in oral and written form.
• Knowledge of proper rigging and signaling.
• Familiarity with transit, laser level, torpedo, torque guns, welders and related gear.
• Knowledge of AISC standards and requirements.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety precautions are followed on site.
• Complete jobs on time and within budget where possible.
• Hold a documented site safety meeting weekly.
• Prepare a 3-week look-ahead schedule weekly.
• Attend all on-site project meetings (safety, quality, scheduling, production, etc.).
• Issue corrective action notices to enforce guidelines/policies.
• Read specifications and blueprints to determine locations, quantities, and sizes of materials.
