100Hires, Inc. is seeking a Structural Steel CWI & NDT Specialist to lead quality inspections on structural welds and assemblies. You will review blueprints, perform UT/MT testing, and verify CJP welds meet WPS and drawings, guiding welders and supervisors toward defect resolution.

You’ll troubleshoot defects and uphold procedures for structural integrity. Ideal candidates will hold AWS CWI, have hands‑on MIG/GMAW experience, and demonstrate strong blueprint literacy, enabling precise guidance

Qualifications

• AWS CWI certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual weld inspections on approximately 60% of product prior to shipment.

Structural Steel CWI & NDT SpecialistA day in this roleYou begin by reviewing the shipping queue, prioritizing assemblies that are ready to leave the floor. With your AWS CWI expertise, you complete visual examinations on roughly 60% of finished structural steel before it ships, confirming weld quality and workmanship. Next, you zero in on structural MIG/GMAW welds—especially Complete Joint Penetration (CJP) joints—verifying they meet applicable specifications, drawings, and WPS requirements.As production advances, you perform UT (Ultrasonic Testing) and MT (Magnetic Particle) inspections on seismic and load‑bearing components to validate internal and surface integrity. You move seamlessly between engineering blueprints, fabrication drawings, and shop drawings, translating requirements into clear guidance for welders and supervisors.
