Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Structural Corrosion Control Coatings Applicator to prepare structural steel surfaces for coating applications on industrial sites. You will clean, grind, and finish to ensure primer- through-finish coats meet durability standards.

You should have experience in steel painting, knowledge of primers and thinners, and be comfortable operating spray equipment, brushes, and rollers while adhering to strict safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience painting in structural steel or industrial environments.
• Knowledge of paints, primers, thinners, and application methods.
• Ability to operate spray equipment, brushes, and rollers.
• Detail-oriented with strong quality control habits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural steel by cleaning, grinding, and sanding to coating readiness.
• Apply primers, paints, and coatings to component surfaces.
• Operate spray guns, brushes, and rollers for even finishes.
• Inspect surfaces for rust, contamination, and imperfections before coating.
• Mix paints and primers to exact specifications.
• Deliver work meeting project specifications and standards.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Maintain and clean equipment; perform QC checks.
• Collaborate with supervisors and teammates to meet deadlines.
