Responsibilities include selecting coating systems, maintaining quality control, and mentoring workers in proper techniques and safety procedures. The role requires hands-on leadership on fabrication sites with travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a paint foreman or supervisor in steel/coating environments.
• Strong knowledge of surface prep methods and coating types.
• Familiarity with SSPC, NACE, and ASTM standards.
• Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specs.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to work at heights and in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a crew of painting applicators on-site.
• Coordinate surface preparation including abrasive blasting and cleaning.
• Oversee application of primer, epoxy, urethane, and related coatings.
• Ensure work aligns with drawings, specs, and industry standards.
• Inspect quality, thickness, and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain equipment and manage materials for coatings.
• Train crew on coating techniques and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with project managers to maintain schedules and resolve issues.
