Synerfac Inc is seeking a Buyer (Structural Steel) in Pottstown, PA to manage material orders, pricing, and delivery for a fast-paced shop environment. This full-time, in-office role focuses on accuracy, nesting optimization, and close coordination with project managers and shop staff.

You will prepare orders from drawings, negotiate with vendors, and ensure timely, precise material releases and documentation to support production schedules.

Formación

• 1+ years of experience in structural steel and purchasing.
• Ability to read shop drawings and interpret BOMs.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency with nesting software and CNC/beam files (.nc1).
• Excellent Excel skills and high typing speed (70+ WPM).

Responsabilidades

• Prepare material orders using shop drawings and BOMs.
• Solicit pricing from multiple vendors and evaluate quotations.
• Release POs and track material to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure material accuracy to prevent downstream errors.
• Nest plate parts to maximize material yield for production.
• Review .nc1 files for main beams and members and correct as needed.
• Nest angle parts and track stock material quantities for production.
• Create fabrication checklists for main members and columns.
• Organize and prepare digital files for shop processing equipment.
• Coordinate with project managers and shop personnel to maintain workflow.
• Track incoming material against BOMs to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and release work to prevent production delays.
