Job summary

Hord Coplan Macht, Inc. is seeking a Structural REVIT Modeler in Conshohocken, PA. The role focuses on developing accurate 3D structural models in REVIT, coordinating with architectural and MEP files, and contributing to construction documents within BIM standards.

The candidate will participate in design development, client interactions, and project coordination, requiring strong communication and meticulous attention to detail in a collaborative design office.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training.
• At least three years as a structural drafter/modeler for building structures.
• Proficiency with REVIT Structural BIM Software and exposure to Autodesk Construction Cloud & Bluebeam.
• Strong understanding of general building construction, structural symbols, and detailing practices.
• Attention to detail and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D REVIT models translating to plans, elevations, sections, and schedules.
• Coordinate structural models with architectural and MEP files to identify clashes.
• Follow BIM standards, templates, and project file maintenance.
• Self-check drawings for annotation clarity, scaling, and accuracy before engineering review.

About Our Search

Our Philadelphia, Lancaster, or Pittsburgh office is looking for a strong Structural REVIT Modeler. We are seeking a new team member who is a self-starter, communicates well, wants involvement in all aspects of project design and construction, and thrives in a collaborative workplace. Your day-to-day duties will touch on many aspects of design office operations: developing design concepts, producing construction documents and specifications, interacting with clients and consultants, and contract administration. You must be organized, versatile, and a willing, active participant in our office culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in REVIT Structure, developing accurate 3D models translating to plans, framing layouts, elevations, sections, and schedules for various structural systems, including structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and wood framing.
• Link and coordinate structural models with architectural and MEP files to proactively identify and resolve spatial clashes, dimensional conflicts, and constructability issues.
• Work within company BIM standards, template configurations, family creation, and project file maintenance structures.
• Perform self-checks on drawing deliverables for annotation clarity, scaling, and accuracy before submitting them for engineering review.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent technical school/program certification.
• Three years of experience working as a structural drafter/modeler for building structures.
• Proficiency with REVIT Structural BIM Software with exposure to Autodesk Construction Cloud and Bluebeam.
• Thorough understanding of general building construction, structural symbols, and standard detailing practices.
• Meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving capabilities, and the communication skills necessary to collaborate within a multidisciplinary project environment.
