Job summary

Prism Maritime, based in Chesapeake, VA, seeks a Quality System Supervisor III - Structural for our fabrication facility. The role ensures welding, brazing and NDT compliance with NAVSEA/ABS requirements and supports QA/QC across fabrication packages on government and commercial work items.

Qualified candidates will hold NAVSEA/NDT Level II VT certification or higher, have extensive welding/fabrication inspection experience and strong knowledge of QMS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with one of the time-related field experience criteria
• Bachelor’s Degree, Level II NDT (VT) and 7 years technical experience relating US Navy structural installation, fabrication and/or inspection
• Associates Degree, Level II NDT (VT) and 10 years technical experience relating US Navy structural installation, fabrication and/or inspection

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of quality control and inspection procedures for production Fabrication Packages
• Accomplish in-process, dimensional and visual inspections and document results
• Maintain calibrated test and measurement equipment issued to the Fabrication Facility
• Review contract requirements and provide guidance for Welding, Brazing and NDT technical requirements
• Conduct Quality Assurance and Quality Control inspections and surveillances
• Act as Quality Liaison to mitigate customer quality concerns and non-conformances
• Execute corrective actions per Prism Maritime QMS and customer contract requirements
