Job summary

Prism Maritime is seeking a Quality Assurance System Supervisor with Level II NDT (VT) certification to oversee welding, brazing and non-destructive testing on naval and commercial projects. You will assist in developing QC/inspection procedures and maintain QA records in line with contract requirements.

Role requires in-depth knowledge of NAVSEA and ABS standards, strong surveillance skills and the ability to coordinate with vendors and customer representatives.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain Level II NDT (VT) certification.
• Experience with NAVSEA, ABS, HIINNS, EB requirements for welding, fabrication and inspections is preferred.
• Knowledge of quality standards for structural and pipe material receiving, in-process and final inspection.

Responsibilities

• Perform Level II NDT (VT) inspections and assist in development of QC/inspection procedures.
• Conduct in-process and final work-package reviews for welding, brazing and NDT.
• Advise management on test trends, vendor performance and corrective actions.
• Maintain quality records for structural and pipe material, receiving and inspection.
