Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Engineer in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to manage, design, and detail building structures both independently and as part of a larger team. You will serve as a liaison between design professionals and Principals, selecting structural systems, performing analyses, and developing construction drawings and specifications.

Requirements include a Master of Science in Structural Engineering, a minimum of four years’ experience, Professional Engineer registration, RAM or RISA

Qualifications

• Master of Science Degree in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in the design of building structures.
• Professional Engineer Registration.
• Design skills in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
• Familiar with design codes.

Responsibilities

• Manage, design, and detail building structures independently and as part of a team.
• Liaise between design professionals and Principals; select structural systems and conceptual framing.
• Perform analyses and calculations; develop construction drawings and specifications.
• Self-perform drafting and written texts; review shop drawings and contractor work during construction.
