Job summary

Actalent in California seeks a Structural Engineer to lead and deliver complex building projects. You will own projects from design coordination through final delivery, manage scope and schedule, and serve as the main client liaison with architects and owners.

Ideal candidates have 8–12 years of structural experience, a four-year degree in structural or civil engineering, and preferably a PE license. You will collaborate with multi-discipline teams to ensure high-quality, on-time execution.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of structural engineering experience in building projects.
• Four-year degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• PE license strongly preferred; near-term licensure timeline acceptable.
• Experience leading projects and coordinating teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute structural projects from initial design coordination through final delivery.
• Take full ownership of project scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Coordinate the work of engineers and production staff to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Serve as primary client contact with architects, contractors, and owners.
• Interface with clients and project partners to clarify requirements and address issues.
• Use ETABS, RAM, or RISA to support project execution and validate solutions.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to integrate structural design with other disciplines.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff and ensure quality, on-time delivery.
