This position is based in Columbus, OH or remote, and involves managing design and inspection projects related to bulk material handling, including working at heights and confined spaces.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Read and understand construction documents for data collection during inspections.
2. Observe structures/silos (concrete and steel) and identify deficiencies.
3. Collect measurements, photos, and notes during inspections.
4. Perform inspections from lifts or rigging, including confined space entry.
5. Collaborate with facility personnel and rigging sub-consultants.
6. Establish positive client relationships and communicate findings effectively.
7. Write detailed technical reports with observations, conclusions, and recommendations.
8. Work with design teams on repair drawings and structural analysis.
9. Travel out-of-state (1-2 weeks/month) depending on workload.

Required Skills/Abilities

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering; Master’s preferred.

Salary range: $89,000 - $134,000, with benefits including health insurance, retirement, PTO, bonuses, and stock options.
