This position offers remote work flexibility or can be based in our Columbus, OH office. As a Structural Project Engineer, you will manage design and inspection projects independently, working directly with clients and collaborating with our design team.

Responsibilities include:

1. Reading and understanding construction documents for data collection;
2. Inspecting structures such as silos made of concrete and steel, identifying deficiencies;
3. Performing measurements, taking photos, and recording observations accurately;
4. Conducting inspections at heights and in confined spaces;
5. Collaborating with facility personnel and rigging consultants;
6. Maintaining positive client relationships and preparing detailed reports;
7. Analyzing structures and working with designers on repairs;
8. Traveling out-of-state 1-2 weeks per month, depending on workload.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering; Master's preferred;
• PE license required;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in bulk material handling design consulting;
• Proficiency in RISA, AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, Outlook;
• Strong communication and report-writing skills;
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently or in teams.

Additional requirements:

• Experience with ACI, AISC, IBC codes;
• Certifications such as MSHA, OSHA 10, Confined Space Entry;
• Willingness to travel as needed.
