Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to join their structural design practice, tackling a variety of projects with a focus on durable, code-compliant steel, concrete and timber systems. You will collaborate with senior engineers and clients, helping to develop robust design solutions from concept through documentation.

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of structural engineering experience with a focus on structural design.
  • Strong proficiency in structural analysis software, AutoCAD, and Revit.
  • PE License preferred (or ability to obtain in the near future).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in structural design, analysis, and detailing for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems.
  • Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and maintain alignment.
  • Plan and organize project staff and coordinate engineering program activities.
  • Prepare contract documents including drawings and specifications for projects.

Your Role:
  • The Role as a Project Engineer to join our Structural Practice and work on medium to large-size projects such as new terminals, concourses, hangars, and other support facilities
  • Other projects include cultural buildings, office buildings, residential buildings, health care, research facility design, and tenant renovation work
  • Responsibilities assist in the direction, coordination, planning, organization, integration, and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility
  • Communicate with clients to understand project requirements
  • Plan and formulate engineering program and organize project staff according to project requirements
  • Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of buildings and materials using various building codes
  • Manage other design team members and supervise the work of engineers and draft persons
  • Direct project staff in preparing contract documents, such as drawings and specifications
