Job summary

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer license in New York is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Around 5-8 years of structural engineering experience within a consulting or design environment.
• Strong experience with structural analysis and design software.
• Revit or similar modeling software experience is a plus.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Organized, detail focused, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to project sites when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis across materials including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
• Prepare calculation packages, technical specifications, and construction documentation
• Produce drawings, details, and other engineering deliverables
• Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and coordinate project updates during construction
• Carry out site visits, field observations, and construction administration work as needed
• Support structural assessments, retrofit and rehabilitation projects, and forensic investigations
• Work closely with architects, MEP teams, geotechnical engineers, civil engineers, and other disciplines throughout the design process
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination
• Attend client meetings and help present technical solutions and design decisions
• Mentor junior engineers and help guide project delivery across the team
