Job summary

Mackenzie is seeking a highly talented structural engineer (PE required) for our Seattle office. This full-time role requires 4-6 years of structural experience, with the ability to coordinate with other disciplines and manage own work and that of the discipline team.

The position offers a hybrid office schedule in Seattle: in-office Tue–Thu with potential to work from home Mon and Fri. Candidates should have strong design skills and client-focused delivery.

Qualifications

• PE license is required.
• 4–6 years of structural engineering experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with steel and manufacturing/semiconductor projects is a plus.
• Able to coordinate construction documents for small to medium projects.

Job description

We are looking for a highly talentedstructural enginee r (PE required) with 4-6 years of structural engineering experience for our Seattle office. This full-time position is available to qualified applicants who excel in a dynamic working environment and are self-motivated. The ideal candidate excels in coordination with other disciplines, possess strong design technical skills, and has the ability to manage their own work efforts along with those of their discipline team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop structural projects from conceptual planning through design documents and construction.
• Collaborate with Architects, Interior Designers, Civil Engineers, Landscape Architects, and MEP consultant teams on projects.
• Perform and lead structural gravity and lateral calculations on a wide variety of projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
• 4 to 6 years of structural experience with relevant project types.
• A professional engineering (PE) license is required
• Working knowledge of codes (ASCE 7, ASCE 41, ACI, AISC, etc.)
• Ability to assist in coordinating and assembling an entire set of construction documents on small to medium projects.
• Candidates with experience with steel and interested in working on projects focused on manufacturing and semiconductor projects is a plus.
• Open to new ideas and challenges

Salary Range: $89,000 to $104,000

At Mackenzie, we work a hybrid office schedule; all staff work in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with an option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
