Job summary

DCI Engineers in San Francisco, CA invites a Structural Project Engineer to join our team. You will contribute to design, analysis, and construction support for diverse building projects, collaborating with BIM designers and other engineers to deliver complete construction documents.

You bring 0–3 years of structural experience, knowledge of steel, concrete and wood design, familiarity with REVIT and structural analysis software, and an ABET‑accredited degree (Master’s preferred).

Qualifications

• 0–3 years structural engineering experience in building design.
• Working knowledge of steel, concrete and wood design materials.
• Experience designing gravity framing and wind-resisting systems.
• Familiarity with design/build codes (AISC, ACI 318, IBC, ASCE 7).
• Experience with structural analysis software (RISA 3D, RAM, ETABS, Enercalc) or equivalent.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly.
• Desire to provide excellent service and build client relationships.
• State-issued Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate and ABET‑accredited degree (Master’s preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structures under PM supervision.
• Collaborate with BIM Designers to produce construction documents in REVIT.
• Assist PMs with construction support, RFIs and shop drawing reviews.
• Ensure accuracy and detail in construction documents.
• Grow technical knowledge through projects and continuing education.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
