Job summary

DCI Engineers in San Diego, CA is seeking a Structural Engineering Project Manager to lead complex building projects from concept through construction. You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with teams, and nurture long-term client relationships in a dynamic office environment.

The role requires 1–3+ years of structural project management and 4+ years of structural design experience, a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, and a PE license.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of structural project management experience.
• 4+ years of structural design engineering experience.
• Civil Engineering degree from ABET-accredited university; PE license required.
• Experience with steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.
• Experience with seismic retrofits and building evaluations.
• Strong communication and ability to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead building projects from start to finish and direct engineering documents.
• Prepare fee proposals and contracts for clients.
• Develop workload and scheduling projections for project staff.
• Oversee calculations, design and analysis of project elements.
• Coordinate with BIM Designers to align design details and docs.
• Review shop drawings during construction and respond to RFIs.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
