Job summary

DCI Engineers in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to contribute to design, analysis, and construction support of building projects, collaborating with BIM designers and engineers.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of structural engineering experience, knowledge of steel, concrete, and wood design, and an EIT; a PE is preferred. An ABET-accredited degree is required, with growth, mentorship, and work-life balance emphasized.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of structural engineering experience building design.
• Experience with steel, concrete and wood design.
• Knowledge of gravity framing and wind-resisting systems.
• Familiarity with design/build codes: AISC, ACI 318, IBC, ASCE 7.
• Experience using structural analysis software (RISA 3D, RAM, ETABS, Enercalc).
• Demonstrated time management for multiple tasks.
• Strong client relationship skills and communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design of tasks under the Project Manager.
• Collaborate with BIM Designers to produce structural documents and REVIT details.
• Assist with construction support including shop drawings and RFIs.
• Ensure accuracy of construction documents.
• Grow technical knowledge through projects and training.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
