Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) seeks a Project Engineer in Wall, NJ to support structural design for diverse buildings. You’ll assist in analysis of steel, concrete, masonry and wood, and prepare calculations and drawings for multidisciplinary coordination.

The role requires a Civil/Structural degree, 5 years in a consulting environment, and NJ PE; strong coding knowledge and CAD software experience are essential for successful delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s a plus).
• 5 years of structural engineering experience in a consulting environment.
• PE license in NJ.
• Working knowledge of building codes and structural analysis/design software.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and delivery of structural engineering projects for commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential buildings.
• Assist in design and analysis of structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and related documentation.
• Coordinate structural designs with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with senior engineers and project managers.
• Support construction administration activities, including shop drawing review, RFIs, and field observations.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Contribute to maintaining high-quality project delivery and client satisfaction.
• Engage in mentorship and professional development opportunities, progressively taking on greater project responsibility.
