Job summary
Kubala Engineers, a PBK family company, seeks a Project Engineer to support structural design for buildings through design and construction phases in California. You will perform calculations, coordinate with disciplines, and assist with construction administration to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
The role requires strong proficiency in steel and concrete design, IBC codes, and hands-on experience with Revit, RISA, Etabs, and Bluebeam.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis or Architectural Engineering with optional Master’s degree.
- Minimum 4 years of progressive structural engineering experience in building design.
- Strong knowledge of IBC and related codes (ASCE, AISC, ACI, MSJC, NDS, PTI).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate design and documentation to complete construction documents on schedule and within budget.
- Author calculations, material selection, and sizing for structural members.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, change proposals, and change orders; update project documents.
- Translate design items to team members and draft engineering reports and memos.
- Provide site observations and draft reports during Construction Administration.
