Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team. You will plan, design, and construct or repair buildings and infrastructures, ensuring correct assembly of structures and systems.

Ideal candidates will manage projects from concept to occupancy with minimal supervision and bring experience in industrial settings such as chemical plants, steel mills, or manufacturing. You will collaborate with clients, navigate jurisdictional requirements, and autonomously

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering experience.
• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil Engineering; structural emphasis preferred.
• EIT required; PE a plus.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software and Autodesk products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Perform structural analysis using software and hand calculations.
• Develop knowledge of building codes (IBC, ASCE, etc.).
• Collaborate with designers/drafters to produce construction drawings and specs.
• Conduct field investigations and document existing conditions.
• Prepare reports and repair recommendations.
• Support construction phase services and RFI responses.
• Meet budgets and schedules with cross-team coordination.
• Some travel within the continental US (approx. 10%).
