Position: Structural Project Engineer

Our Pottsville office is looking to hire a Structural Project Engineer. The ideal candidate will be a licensed PE in Pennsylvania with at least 6 years of experience, preferably working with PennDOT and PTC. We seek someone motivated, eager to work on complex projects, and interested in advancing their career.

Location

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with in-office work from any Pennsylvania office.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serve as lead engineer on bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects
  2. Mentor junior staff and support their growth
  3. Prepare and review structural calculations for bridge design
  4. Manage design files and plans with quality control
  5. Coordinate plans, specifications, and estimates per PennDOT/PTC standards
  6. Prepare and review bridge load rating and inspection reports
  7. Conduct bridge inspections and report preparations
  8. Coordinate tasks with the Project Manager
  9. Lead design and inspection teams
Qualifications
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field
  • PE License in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain via reciprocity
  • Experience with bridge design, load rating, and inspection (minimum 6 years)
  • Experience with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, PTC, or municipalities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with MicroStation Connects, Open Roads, and Open Bridge Design software
