- Lead analysis and design of structural systems for buildings and other structures
- Lead design efforts as project manager or lead engineer for low- to moderate-complexity projects
- Collaborate with senior staff on larger and more complex projects
- Create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations using engineering software and tools
- Provide engineering solutions and technical guidance to clients
- Support consulting-project execution as part of a project team
- Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling
- Document design decisions and client instructions
- Monitor design progress against percent complete and fee expended
- Analyze engineering problems and develop practical, efficient solutions
- Provide in-process design reviews of structural systems, calculations, and specifications
- Implement IMEG quality-control processes

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent, required
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required
- 2 years of experience minimum required in the building design consulting industry
- Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
- Strong technical and analytical skills, including mechanics and materials, load paths, and structural design standards for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry
- Proficiency with industry-standard engineering software and structural engineering design and analysis software
- Proficiency in BIM software
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to train and mentor less experienced staff
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to adapt to new challenges
- Ability to travel up to 10% with occasional overnight stays
