Job summary

Parkhill is seeking a Structural Professional Engineer in Frisco, TX to lead the structural design and analysis for diverse building and infrastructure projects, collaborating with the integrated MEP/S team to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and constructible solutions. The role emphasizes mentoring, site visits, client interaction, and staying compliant with design standards.

A PE license and 10+ years' experience in consulting structural design are expected; Revit/BIM proficiency is

Responsibilities

  • Prepare plans, reports, and studies for review.
  • Direct technicians and EITs for production of engineering documents for routine projects.
  • Interface with clients alongside Project Managers.
  • Visit construction sites to observe progress and ensure conformance to plans.
  • Research design criteria, regulations, and standards and incorporate into design documents.
  • Mentor others in proficient use of design software.

Structural Professional Engineer

The Structural Professional Engineer is responsible for leading the structural design and analysis of a variety of building and infrastructure projects while collaborating closely with Parkhill's integrated MEP/S team. This position plays a key role in delivering innovative, cost-effective, and constructible solutions that meet client expectations and advance the firm's mission of building stronger communities. This is a full-time position, paid bi-weekly on a salary basis.

Parkhill is one of the largest architectural and engineering firms in the Southwest with 14 offices located throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare plans, reports, and studies for review.

  • Mentor others in the proficient use of design software.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering required
  • Passed the Professional Engineer exam and can provide a PE license number
  • The ability to use Revit/BIM is preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of structural building design experience in a consulting role
