Job summary

NYSFAB, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Estimator to join our growing team in Queens, NY.

The ideal candidate will have experience in structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and installation, plus construction project management, estimating, or a related field. The successful candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to communicate with customers, contractors, engineers, fabricators, installers, and project

Qualifications

• Experience in steel fabrication, miscellaneous metals, or construction project management.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, and shop drawings.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience with public-sector projects is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
• Prepare and review estimates, proposals, material takeoffs, and change orders.
• Coordinate steel fabrication and installation projects from start to finish.
• Communicate with customers, contractors, engineers, fabricators, installers, and stakeholders.
• Track project costs, materials, labor, deliveries, and schedules.
• Assist with procurement of steel and other project materials.
• Review shop drawings and coordinate fabrication requirements.
• Attend project meetings and conduct site visits as needed.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
• Ensure work meets specifications, safety requirements, and codes.
• Assist with project closeout, final documentation, and billing.
