Job summary

eZone Staffing, LLC is seeking a Structural Steel Project Manager to drive complex steel projects from shop to site in the Albertson, NY area. You will review shop drawings, coordinate with detailers and field teams, perform field measurements, and manage change orders and QA/QC processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field and 5+ years of steel fabrication/erection experience, with SST certification and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in construction-related field.
• 5+ years of steel fabrication/erection experience.
• Ability to interpret contracts, specifications and technical drawings.
• SST Certification (40hr Site Safety Training) mandatory.
• Strong integrity, independence and collaboration.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organization skills.
• Local candidates preferred or willing to relocate within 30 minutes of Albertson, NY.

Responsibilities

• Review shop drawings and coordinate with detailers and field teams.
• Perform field measurements and prepare sketches.
• Track design changes for constructability and QA/QC.
• Support fabrication with timely shop and purchase orders.
• Submit RFIs, submittals, and quality control documents.
• Develop monthly AIA payments and change orders.
• Coordinate with engineers and architects.
• Manage steel erection planning, ironworker scheduling, and safety compliance.
• Oversee equipment logistics, street closures and crane permits.
• Ensure QA/QC standards and inspection readiness.
• Conduct field measuring and layout verification.
• Track and negotiate change orders.
