Job summary

The role involves reading blueprints and orders, handling rivets, drills, and related tools, and ensuring precise, safe assembly while maintaining proper documentation and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in reading 3D models, blueprints, and operation orders.
• Ability to work with composite materials, close tolerance work, and special tools.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork skills, and a professional attitude.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to read and comprehend instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely assemble, fit, drill, rivet, and fabricate sheet metal on aircraft structures.
• Interpret blueprints, work orders, sketches, and operation sheets to determine assembly sequence and specifications.
• Use riveting guns, drills, countersinks, and files to complete tasks accurately.
• Check work for defects, perform rework as needed, and ensure assemblies meet quality standards.
• Assist and instruct team members, develop methods to resolve production issues, and maintain records.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area, follow safety protocols, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in proper tool maintenance, waste disposal, and accurate job charge documentation.

• Interpret blueprints, work orders, sketches, and operation sheets to determine assembly sequence and specifications.


• Use various tools, including riveting guns, drills, countersinks, and files, to complete tasks accurately.


• Check work for defects, perform rework as needed, and ensure assemblies meet quality standards.
