Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Structural Mechanic in Dallas, TX to contribute to aerospace assembly. You will perform structural assembly, drilling, riveting, sheet metal work, and quality checks in a team-driven environment, following safety and lean practices.

The role requires 2 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read blueprints. Shift flexibility and physical work with up to 50 lbs is needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural assembly, fitting, drilling, riveting, and sheet metal fabrication and installation.
• Use pneumatic drills, riveting guns, countersinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, and other required tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets.
• Align and assemble components using jigs, fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
• Shape and form complex angles and configurations to blueprint specifications.
• Inspect completed work and correct defects before final inspection.
• Perform repairs and rework using DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs.
• Maintain required production logs and records.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while supporting 5S and Lean initiatives.
• Properly use and maintain company tools and equipment.
• Communicate job-related information across shifts and with leadership.
• Work with minimal supervision while following established procedures and safety requirements.

Location: Dallas, TX | Schedule: Weekend Days; 4:25am - 3:05pm | Pay Rate: $26.94/hour

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Structural Mechanic. This is an opportunity to bring your aircraft structural assembly skills to a team-oriented production environment where precision, craftsmanship, safety, and quality are critical.

What You’ll Do

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Solumina and SmarTeam strongly preferred.
• Previous aircraft structural assembly, sheet metal, or aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
