Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural Intern/Co-Op in Raleigh, NC. You’ll join Building Engineering Services and support design of facilities structures across markets, gaining real-world experience.

As an enrolled engineering student, you’ll apply basic engineering methods, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and develop construction drawings and calculations under supervision. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Demonstrated knowledge of structural analysis/design software.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist design of facilities related structures across markets (Water/Wastewater, Healthcare, Data Centers, etc.).
• Support and coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams through project life cycle.
• Support development of drawings, specs, calculations, and review shop drawings.
• Gain real-world experience on exciting projects.
• Connect with mentors and leaders through programs.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Perform tasks under supervision of a professional or PM.
• Perform other duties as needed.
