Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural Intern/Co-Op in Charlotte to contribute to the Building Engineering Services group. You will assist with design of facilities related structures across diverse markets and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team from planning through construction.

You will develop construction drawings, specifications, and calculations, while gaining real-world experience on HDR projects and participating in mentoring programs offered to new graduates.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design of facilities related structures across multiple markets.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline design team through planning to construction.
• Support development of drawings, specs, and calculations; review shop drawings.
• Gain real-world experience on exciting HDR projects.
• Engage with mentors and early career programs within HDR.
