Job summary

Kenworth Truck Company, a PACCAR division in Washington, seeks a Project Engineer for Sustaining Structures and Interiors to design and develop truck programs. You will lead heavy-duty vehicle structures, apply Creo/Pro-E, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust assemblies from concept through production.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 5–7+ years in design, DFSS/Six Sigma, and proven project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 5-7+ years of experience in product design and development.
• Lead engineering projects from concept through production, managing scope, timing, and deliverables.
• Strong expertise in cab structures, interiors, and multi-system integration.
• Proficient in CAD tools (Creo/Pro-E) with understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or DFSS experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of truck programs.
• Utilize Creo/Pro-E to create optimized parts and assemblies.
• Validate designs with internal and external organizations.
• Manage product implementation, track costs, and support new product introductions.
• Collaborate with multiple PACCAR divisions.
