Job summary

PACCAR Inc seeks a Project Engineer for Sustaining Structures and Interiors in Kirkland, WA. You will participate in design and development of truck programs, using Creo/Pro-E to optimize parts and assemblies, and collaborate with internal and external teams to validate designs.

You will drive system-level decisions, lead cross-functional teams, and support product launches across divisions, ensuring durability and quality across cab structures and interiors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5-7+ years of product design and development experience; heavy-duty vehicle/structures preferred.
• Proven ability to lead projects from concept to production with scoped deliverables.
• Expertise in cab structures, interiors, and multi-system integration.
• Proficient in CAD tools (Creo/Pro-E) with material and tolerance knowledge.
• Ability to drive system-level design choices impacting fit, finish and durability.
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership across divisions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and development of truck programs.
• Use Creo/Pro-E to create optimized parts and assemblies with independent judgment.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to validate designs.
• Utilize PACCAR and industry systems to manage product implementation and costs.
• Coordinate with multiple PACCAR divisions to support launches.
