Job summary

CES Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Structural Inspector to perform daily field inspections across NYC Parks projects in all five boroughs. The role involves inspecting rehab, renovations, and new construction while ensuring schedules, plans, and safety standards are met.

The ideal candidate holds a NYS Professional Engineer license, a B.S. in structural engineering, and at least five years in construction inspection or infrastructure project management.

Qualifications

• Active NYS Professional Engineer license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering from an accredited college.
• Minimum 5 years in construction inspection or management of infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections for NYC Parks projects across five boroughs.
• Prepare daily inspection reports detailing work, labor, equipment, materials, and issues.
• Identify unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Document field issues and communicate findings to the Resident Engineer.
• Monitor site safety in line with OSHA and NYC Parks safety protocols.
• Assist with quantity tracking, payment verification, and progress reporting.
• Perform material sampling and testing to verify quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Resident Engineer.
