Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural Hydraulic Coordinator/EI to contribute to design options for structural engineering projects, perform routine assignments, and support senior engineers. You will work on cost estimates, prepare specifications, and mentor clerical staff as needed, while embracing HDR's employee-owned culture.

Bachelor’s in Structural Engineering and software skills are required; EIT preferred with a path to career progression.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and structural analysis software such as RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, and SAFE.
  • Demonstrated commitment to an employee-owned culture.
  • Preferred: Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate; candidates without EIT may be titled Coordinator and will be expected to obtain EIT for career progression.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications for structural engineering projects
  • Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
  • Work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects
  • Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

In the role of Structural Hydraulic Coordinator/EI, we’ll count on you to:

  • Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications for structural engineering projects

Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
  • Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of “Coordinator” and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering
  • Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar
