White Oak Medical Center is part of Adventist HealthCare and seeks an experienced Structural Heart Nurse Practitioner for the Cardiology Unit. The NP will collaborate with Cardiologist and Interventional Radiologist, prepare patients for procedures with H&P, monitor progress, coordinate care, and discharge planning, while driving practice improvements.

The role requires an NP with Maryland ARNP license, ACNP or AGNP certification preferred, and BLS/ACLS; 20 hours per week with 1 week in 5

Qualificações

• Masters of Nursing, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Adult Nurse Practitioner.
• 1–2 years of experience as nurse practitioner in an acute setting in a procedural area.
• Licensed as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland.
• Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner preferred or Adult Nurse Practitioner with 2 years of previous experience and medical staff approval.
• Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substance license.
• DEA license.
• BLS Certification.
• ACLS Certification.

Responsabilidades

• Revises, prescribes and implements therapeutic regimen using an interdisciplinary approach in collaboration with the Cardiologist and Interventional Radiologist.
• Prepares patient’s for surgical and/or interventional procedure to include History & Physicals.
• Monitors patient’s progress.
• Collaborate with CVIR and Hospital Health Care team to manage and coordinate care.
• Facilitates patient discharge.
• Leads and Identifies opportunities for practice changes and performance improvement through the integration of research/evidence based practice.
• Serves as a Clinical Resource.

Formação académica

Masters of Nursing, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Adult Nurse Practitioner

Maryland Licensed ARNP

Certification as ACNP or FNP with 2 years experience

Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substance license

DEA license

BLS Certification

ACLS Certification
