Westwood Professional Services, Inc.is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our renewable energy team. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for structural design of foundations, ancillary structures and anchorage for utility scale substations in the renewable markets.
- Prepare or direct the structural design reports, specifications, and plans. Review and approve project submittals, RFIs, and supports field activities during construction.
- Provide professional and technical support to multiple Westwood projects.
- Day-to-day support and input to internal and external Project Managers.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Education or experience should include the following:
- IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318
- Shallow and deep foundations, including spread footings, slab-on-grade, piles, and concrete caissons
- Connection and anchorage design such as cast-in-place, post installed, welds and high-strength bolts
- Steel member design, including cold-formed and hot-rolled steel sections
reinforced and prestressed concrete design - Active construction projects, including inspections, submittals, and RFIs
