Job summary

Tradesmen International is currently seeking experienced Structural Flux-Core Welders for on-site work in Utah. The role involves FCAW welding of structural steel, reading welding symbols, and following Welding Procedure Specifications.

Travelers 60+ miles from the jobsite receive a $100 per diem and up to $35/hour pay. Applicants must pass weld tests and have strong FCAW/FCAW welding experience, with knowledge of working from WPS and reading structural drawings.

Qualifications

• Must pass weld tests
• Experience with structural steel fabrication
• Strong FCAW/Flux-Core welding experience
• Experience with heavy fabrication
• Experience welding beams, columns, and structural assemblies
• Proficiency with groove and fillet welds
• Experience working from WPS requirements
• Ability to read structural drawings and weld symbols
• AWS or other recognized structural welding certifications are preferred
• Current or expired welding certifications are encouraged

Responsibilities

• Perform structural steel welding in a fabrication shop environment
• Weld light and heavy beams, columns, and structural assemblies
• Perform FCAW/Flux-Core welding in accordance with project specifications
• Follow applicable Welding Procedure Standards (WPS)
• Read and interpret structural drawings and welding symbols
• Perform groove and fillet welds to required quality standards
• Maintain production requirements while ensuring weld quality
• Inspect completed welds and make necessary corrections or repairs
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by the project

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Flux-Core Welders. The pay rate is up to $35/hour plus $100/per diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the Jobsite.
