Job summary

Tradesmen International is urgently seeking experienced Structural Flux-Core Welders in Houston, TX. The pay rate is up to $35/hour plus $100 per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the jobsite.

This role offers the chance to work with skilled craftsmen focused on safety, productivity, and top-notch workmanship. You will perform structural welding in fabrication shop and field settings, reading drawings and welding symbols with emphasis on FCAW welds, groove and fillet welds, and inspection of

Qualifications

• Experience with structural steel fabrication in industrial settings.
• FCAW/Flux-Core welding competency and groove/fillet welds.
• Ability to read structural drawings and welding symbols.
• AWS or other welding certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding in fabrication shop environment.
• Weld beams, columns, and structural assemblies.
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Inspect welds and perform repairs.
• Maintain safe, clean work area.
• Work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by the project.

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Flux-Core Welders. The pay rate is up to $35/hour plus $100/per diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the Jobsite. Job Scope:

• Perform structural steel welding in a fabrication shop environment
• Weld light and heavy beams, columns, and structural assemblies
• Perform FCAW/Flux-Core welding in accordance with project specifications
• Follow applicable Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Read and interpret structural drawings and welding symbols
• Perform groove and fillet welds to required quality standards
• Maintain production requirements while ensuring weld quality
• Inspect completed welds and make necessary corrections or repairs
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Work extended shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by the project

Requirements:

• Must pass various weld tests
• Previous experience with structural steel fabrication
• Strong FCAW/Flux-Core welding experience
• Experience with heavy fabrication
• Experience welding beams, columns, and structural assemblies
• Proficiency with groove and fillet welds
• Experience working from WPS requirements
• Ability to read structural drawings and weld symbols
• AWS or other recognized structural welding certifications are preferred
• Current or expired welding certifications are encouraged
