Qualifikationen

• High school diploma, technical certificate, or equivalent.
• Experience as structural fitter, steel fabricator, or metal fabricator.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of structural steel materials, fitting techniques, and fabrication processes.
• Experience using measuring tools, grinders, cutting equipment, and fitting tools.
• Basic knowledge of welding processes and weld preparation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Aufgaben

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans.
• Measure, mark, cut, and prepare structural steel plates, beams, channels, angles, and other steel sections.
• Fit and assemble structural steel components according to drawings and project specifications.
• Perform tack welding and prepare components for final welding.
• Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, cutting torches, and other fabrication equipment.
• Check dimensions, alignment, levels, and tolerances using measuring instruments.
• Ensure all fabricated components meet quality standards and specifications.
• Work closely with welders, fabricators, supervisors, and quality control inspectors.
• Identify and report defective materials, dimensional errors, or fitting issues.
• Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
• Meet production schedules and project deadlines.
