Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Fitter to join our team. The role requires reading blueprints, precise measuring, and hands-on fitting of structural components, with the ability to pass weld-test evaluations on day one.

Candidate should have prior structural steel fitting experience and be comfortable laying out, tacking, and assembling parts per specifications for final welding.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret structural blueprints.
• Accurately read a tape measure and work with decimals.
• Understand and work with decimal measurements.
• Fit and assemble structural beams, joists, webbing, plates and brackets.
• Demonstrate weld/test readiness: 3/8" flat weld, vertical tack, single-bead vertical weld.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fit and assemble structural steel per blueprints and specifications.
• Prepare components for welding and final assembly with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate welding and fitting skills during the weld and fitting evaluation.
