Job summary

Pacesetter Personnel Services is seeking a skilled welder to read blueprints and fabricate steel components in a fast-paced shop environment in Houston, TX. You will perform MIG and Flux Core welding, gouge welds, and inspect finished work to ensure it meets project specs.

The role requires 2-4 years of structural welding experience, the ability to pass a 3G weld test, and familiarity with overhead cranes or rigging is a plus. Background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in structural steel welding and fabrication.
• Must pass a 3G weld test.
• Proficiency with MIG and Flux Core welding.
• Experience welding with 1/16-inch wire.
• Must have experience with gouging.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.
• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and welding practices.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Schedule

Monday through Friday. Some weekends will be required.
1st shift: 6:00 am - 5:30 pm
2nd shift: 6:00 pm - 5:30 am

• Safely move, position, and secure structural steel components during fabrication.
